It's with a sad heart that we are to inform you that Abilene has closed it's doors. We are not quite sure what the future holds for us, but we have to say that all future shows are cancelled.



However, we love all you guys out there who have rallied to support us in the past and we miss you guys as much as you miss us. We miss drunken karaoke, napkins in the air during a fat city show, drunken philosophical conversations at the upstairs bar at closing time, finding random items in the bar after closing, people's funny xrated stories involving the bathrooms, bands starting as shitty openers and turning into awesome headliners, the rabid regulars (who would drag thier friends into the bar to become regulars themselves) who were the lifeblood of the place. They knew that Abilene was more then a hipster's punchline, that it was a place to go see good music and relax with some friends and some (or many, many) beers. If the walls could talk.they would end up being arrested.Good times.



Never count us out, who knows what the future holds. We hope to bring good fucking music back to south street when we can!



In the meantime, have a drink for Abilene!
