Abandend

Abandend…A-band-end…Things end. They always do. But with an ending there inevitably comes a new beginning. We started off as a group of guys that met at Berklee, playing local gigs to have fun and make some extra money. After a while though, we wanted more – as artists, we needed more. The evolution of anything requires not just change, but often the abandonment of one thing, or many things, for something greater. For us, it meant abandoning our fears – fears that we wouldn’t succeed, fears that we wouldn’t be accepted, and fears of leaving our comfort zone in order to achieve our greatest aspiration. It meant hoping that the world would abandon their pre-disposed notion of what a rock band is supposed to look like, write about, and stand for. And mostly, above all else, it meant writing, playing, and performing with abandon. Abandend is on a path toward a new sound, a new idea of a band. We have cast away our fears and we have withdrawn from the ideas of what a conventional rock band is supposed to be, all the while, completely surrendering our inhibitions to do what we were born to do and to share the outcome of our journey with you, because one thing we will never abandon is the music.
