Aaron Meyers

I grew up as a shy little boy born in VA. I went to a school of about 3500 kids and went to church everytime the doors were open.My brother Lewis played the drums since he was 3yrs old, I always watched but never really thought about playing anything and for sure not singing. When my father got layed off we moved to Indiana then to FL 6months later where he started his own company and my mother started a pet sitting business. My parents put a music room in our new house and we started homeschooling. We would be finished with our work before our friends. I would rush home and picked up the guitar and fooled around until I was actually teaching myself. i eventually started making up lyrics as well. My brother wanted to learn the piano so my parents got a teacher and I sat outside the room and listened. After the teacher left I asked Lewis to show me this song on the piano I would stay in the room the rest of the night practicing. After that I would spend four to eight hours a day practicing the piano and making up my own songs .Then one day my introduced me to Dr. Mackenley (which was a client of hers) and I played for him and for months after he taught me music theory. My brother and I thought about doing a white stripes deal. but brother and brother?haha. Anyways, we started playing in churches in and around florida.Then my brother who was just 19 and me 16 moved to GA where we helped in a church for a year. My brother was a youth paster and I helped run the music. I hadn't finished school yet, so I went back to florida and got my GED. My brother moved back too, a little bit later after he had to brake of an engagment with the pastors daughter.We decided to move to nashville where we started a band called Shiftchange and traveled all around north and south america, but the guys and I decided that I should go solo. So here I am working on new stuff with my brother still on the drums.I am a man who laughs, loves and cries.I love songs about life, love and heaven and I love singing for you all!
