R9 has been making great music for many years on an underground level, his musical ability and buisness mind makes him an entreupreuner in the music buisness. From the age of 4 he has played drums and by the age of 8 he was a talented poet and songwritter. Whilst collaborating a book of lyrics he became the youngest member of the underground garage group 'platinum ice'. This group got to a high level having permanent radio slots doing big shows and receiving great credibility. Garage faded out in Birmingham and platinum ice slowly parted, R9 went back to his roots of hip-hop and at 18 distributed Two Halves One Story the album selling 400 copies in the first 2 weeks from his car boot and betwen journeys. Now signed to his own independent label R9 his destined to succeed. This month he releases his long awaited mixtape Two Halves One Story:Streets is watching and in october 27th 08 the hit single Stay with me ft Shari.
