Who is "Deraj" ?
If the there was one word to describe Deraj, it would be sincerity. From his message, to his unique artistic delivery, he aims for the hearts of listeners. His goal is to help listeners to examine and confront the deceptiveness of the human heart. As a young man, Deraj struggled heavily with his identity and self worth; constantly trying to fit into the mold of what his others expected of him. Not knowing that this unconscious search for acceptance would feed his insecurities which led to things like fear of rejection, lust, pornography, anger, pride, and deep depression.
It wasn't until 2002, after he moved to Richmond, Va, he discovered the light in Jesus Christ that would illuminate his life, direct his way, and show him the truth of who he was. In addition to this new way of life, the Lord rekindled the passion in Deraj for music and began to use him to share the gospel of Jesus Christ through transparent lyricism.



Since then, Deraj has become a member of Nfluencial Music Ministries and has gotten the chance to minister at numerous outreach events, churches, concerts, men's homes, youth groups, and wherever else he's invited to share his giftings. In 2009, he released his first solo project "Honesty Of The Heart". The project is a candid picture of his inner battles as he aims to show that God desires honesty of the heart to teach us to be wise in our inmost being. Deraj currently resides in Orlando, FL where he's received his B.S. in Digital Arts and Design from Full Sail University, and continues his musical ministry to point people to Jesus Christ.
