CJ

Chabra "CJ" Mercer was born and raised in a small town in North Carolina called Elizabeth City. I picked up the bass at the age of 16 and have not been able to let go of it yet. He attended Elizabeth City State University with a Concentration in Music Business Industry Studies. Since graduation "CJ" has went on to achieve a Masters Degree in MBA with a concentration in Human Resources. During this time, "CJ" has toured with platinum contemporary jazz artist "Najee" to Africa and across the US. "CJ" has also and currently touring with "SWV" the female R&B group. "CJ" has played and accompanied with Ledisi, Alex Bugnon, Howard Hewitt, Coko Clemons, Jeff Lorber, and Will Downing just to name a few.
