4EVERZ
Type:
Artist / Band / Musician
4EVERZ, previously known as 13round, was formed in Tokyo
circa 1999 by AKI and IKUMI. Shortly thereafter, the band started
to play various live gigs in and around Tokyo.
The orignal, harcore punk sound generated by 4EVERz comes from 2
guitars combined with pounding bass provided by the 3 men up front. Behind every good man, or men in this case, is a good woman and IKUMI is no exception to the rule. IKUMI has received numerous awards for her drumming ability.
The 4EVERZ style comes from a combination of Punk, reggae, Ska
and rock and roll. All of the afforementioned styles are expressed
with an original flare that have earned 4EVERZ a rapidly growing
fan base. Because AKI has worked at a custom hot rod shop, he also
incorperates that experience into his writing and brand imaging for
the band.
In 2002, the band supported the Japan tour of "U.S. BOMBS", a
street punk band signed to HELLCAT RECORDS. Also in 2002, the band
supported the Japan tour of "BRAIN FAILURE". In 2004, the band
supported the U.K. hardcore band "GBH" during their tour of Japan.
Then, in 2007, the band supported the Japan tour of "Bombshell Rocks"
In 2003, the band played to a crowd of 300,000 people at an
outdoor festival in South Korea after being selected by Japan as
Japan's representative.
In 2006, the band underwent some personnel changes adding Kou
on bass guitar. Again in 2007, Neil, a Canadian living in Tokyo,
joined the band on guitar. The band was then renamed to 4EVERZ.
On a political note, 4EVERZ does not agree with the military
presence of South Korea or America in Japan.
