Swat Team was born ready for the entertainment industry and this brother & sister act is set to show the world what they are all about. The duo is comprised of members Flame and 7vn. The pair has been rapping since the ages of 5 and 6 years old. They even began writing their own songs at the age of 9. Under the wing of their uncle, Grammy Award winner Maurice Joshua, they grew up understanding the rules and regulations of the business. The team had to earn everything on there own merit. They put out a compilation CD with The Bad Boys, Mike Love and The Dizz, from Chicago's number 1 radio station WGCI entitled "Hitz From The Go". They also completed a track "Puttin it Down" which featured The Outhere Brothers.
Swat Team began to start their movement looking to reach a bigger audience. The Team was on a strong path and they landed a single with mega producer Hula for Clubhouse Entertainment, producing a club hit called "Twerk Dat". The song became so catchy that it was featured in an independent film called "I'm In Love With A Crack Head" by B.E.T Comic View comedian B-Cole. After doing compilation CDs and soundtracks, their music then hit the airwaves. Both members were interviewed on Chicago's famed B96 radio station to discuss the process of working on an album. When the pair realized they wanted to grow and learn more about the music industry, they took some time off from working on their project. After maturing through life lessons and being under the guidance of their uncle, Swat hit the studio with a newfound passion for their music. Determined to put the icing on the cake, Swat hooked up with super producer Lidell Townsend to get tracks for their project. With the help of (Grammy Nominee) producer E-Smoove, they discovered that Swat Teams powerful weapon was the flow and harmony they put together. The next step was to release the album and obtain a major label deal, but the staff and Swat was not proud of the final album. The duo found themselves taking another break to redefine their sound and came back even stronger than before. Flame even performed a solo song on FOX-Chicago's morning show and earned more attention for the group. In 2006 the group opened up for Young Dro, Young Jeezy and Shawnna in Chicago. They also opened up for Crime Mob and Paul Wall. After years of struggling, Swat Team was given the opportunity to produce and write songs. Other Producers such as Zaytoven(Gucci Mane Producer) AOK (the exclusive producer for Jumpan23), and Mr. Hanky from The Package Store{Collipark Music}have also worked with the group to create a collection of exceptional songs. They sold 10,000 copies of "Black Rice" a mix-tape from the trunk of their cars just to be heard. They are currently working on a follow up project which will showcase even greater growth and intelligence. Swat Teams inspiration is God for being the Creator and helping them through their journey. Their gratitude is also extended to everyone in the music business who has shown them kindness and support, including rappers, singers, dancers, producers, DJS, radio stations, and promoters. The group is still waiting for the big break in the music industry and by the looks of things they will continue to knock on doors. the question is are u ready.
