2G’z straight from the “south”, Jackson, TN. Getting started, 2G’z followed a few of his friends from the neighborhood to a local studio. He realized that the more he listened to others rap, the more passion he had for rap industry. So he then, started free styling and writing songs himself. The more he wrote the better his raps improved. His raps portrayed a distinctive style so his friends asked him to become a part of this local group called, New Face Drama. The group members consisted of “Regulation, Speedy Mac, and Lyrics.” The group dropped two successful albums produced by “P la’ awd”, and then they decided to pursue solo albums. With the productions of P la’awd , 2G’z dropped the solo album, “Kandy World”, and is currently working on his next release, “Still Grip’N.” 2G’z is known as the “King of Surround Sound” a local rap contest hosted by Richard D. at Jackson’s very on 96 KIX. After taking the title, King of Surround Sound, with the winning song “Fitted Hat Low,” 2G’z has been requested to perform at numerous clubs. These performances introduced him to “FJ” the founder of “KnocDown Entertainment and 2G’z was asked to perform at the first “KnocDown Awards Show.” It didn’t take long for 2G’z to realize that “KnocDown Ent” was a record label that was making things happen all over West TN, so he knew that signing with them would get his music heard.
