JJ Jones hails from Detroit, Michigan, but spent 10 years of his artistic career in Berlin, Germany, where he developed his performance art as the lead singer of Fuzzy Love, a “trash-pop-kitsch-art-ensemble” that often played in art galleries and fashion shows, using the home console organ, a set of bongos, and a wild array of costumes to interpret the greatest pop hits of all time. Since coming to Nashville in 2006, he has delighted audiences of all kinds with 12 Minutes of Christmas. From within the Human Snow Globe, JJ lovingly croons slightly twisted versions of your favorite Christmas carols, accompanied by the wonderful arrangements of the Arthur Lyman orchestra, whose Hawaiian recordings from 1949 provide a most uniquely crunchy snow on which JJ’s smooth and heartfelt vocals leave their melodic footprints. Perfect for concert openers, exclusive parties,

hipster gatherings, and shopping malls

See it not outside yourself, but shining in the Heaven within, and accept it as the sign the time of Christ has come (A Course in Miracles, T-15.XI.2:1). . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . * Amidst the VERY EXOTIC record collection of my dear friend Captain Nemo in Munich, I stumbled on a delightful Christmas album recorded in Hawaii in 1949 (though some sources suggest 1959): Mele Kalikimaka by Arthur Lyman. Surprisingly, the lush arrangements left plenty of room for vocals, so I seized the opportunity to apply a loving irony to a few of my favorite Christmas classics – indeed, just enough for 12 Minuten von Christmas (recorded in Germany). *
